I got up early this morning not really sure what my goal was, but I knew immediately what I had woken up for. To read what my Father had written to me. On Thursday night Seth and I snuck away to Starbucks. We talked about so much and we got so excited with what God was doing in each others life. I was down right giddy. We commented on the fact that we had pretty much nothing in common except the fact that we believe that Jesus is the savior of our lives. That is another proof of his existence. I think that is awesome. I told him that I was excited to see the direction eXodus would take. How we wanted it to be a community of people just getting to know each other so well. And that close friendships and relationships would blossom out of that. Anyway I read John 8-11 today. I began to see more of Jesus’ purpose for living on the earth and more of his will once he left. I read the story about the resurrection of Lazarus and the part I noticed the most is verse 11:14 Then he told them plainly, “Lazarus is dead. And for your sake, I am glad I wasn’t there, because this will give you another opportunity to believe me. Come, let’s go see him,” Throughout these chapters I am constantly reminded that Jesus uses things that appear grim or disastrous to show who he is to the world. It also talks about His followers being flocks of sheep that recognize him and follow him, but shy away from anything that is not him.
